Our client is looking for an experienced Java Architect to join a team of driven engineers in a fast paced growing industry. As a Java Architect you will be responsible in providing technical leadership and vision for agile development teams building next generation systems with rapid sprint cycles to accomplish our goals. You'll collaborate across a diverse team of technologists, designers, business customers and product owners to produce creative software solutions. You'll work closely with our client's clinical and business partners to ensure the delivery of quality care across all our channels including digital and retail. Responsibilities:
- Selecting technology standards and planning the migration of legacy systems to new technologies and standards
- Overseeing and improving the release pipeline
- Prototyping technologies in the areas of Cloud Computing, Web/Mobile Applications, Healthcare, and Social Media
- Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering phases including design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications
- Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for agile software development
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level

Requirements:
- 10 years of Java Web application development experience with focus on JAVA architecture

- Breadth of experience with...Java, Spring, Hibernate, Linux, HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, REST-based Web services, and GIT
- Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills
- Broad understanding of application architecture and software technology in one or more technology environments (e.g. JEE, .NET, Web, mobile)
- Experience as a hands-on software developer; still enjoy getting hands-on with code
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive projects from an architectural standpoint
