- Analyze and interpret electrical system/subsystem requirements and specifications
- Develop requirements and specifications for printed circuit board assemblies
- Perform risk assessments and makes mitigation recommendations. Decomposes system requirements
- Create electronic hardware module-level architectures
- Develop detailed electrical hardware and firmware designs
- Identify electronic hardware interface controls conflicts and makes recommendations
- Create electronic hardware documentation release packages
- Develop and perform verification and validation procedures for electronic hardware components
- Conduct testing/ analysis of avionics/electrical components, equipment, and systems
- Documents technical performance metrics
- Diagnose malfunctions in existing products and makes design improvements and/or modifications

- Ability to analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.)
- Knowledge of digital circuit design parameters (e.g., throughput, rise time, clock frequencies, propagation delay) and hardware description languages (e.g., Hardware Description Language [HDL], Verilog)
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software components (e.g., processors, memory, interfaces, high order languages), and characteristics (e.g., throughput, processing architecture, timing, capacity)
- Knowledge of electrical engineering theories (e.g., Kirchhoff's Law, Ohm's Law, lighting, power factor, control theory), formula selection (e.g., room cavity ratios, short-circuit, voltage drop, motor counts, capacitor, harmonic correction, load calculations), and methods (e.g., relay coordination, root cause analysis)
- Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) considerations with respect to electrical/electronic design (e.g., wire harness design, grounding and shielding design techniques, lightning protection)
- Capacity to exercise engineering judgment in developing appropriate decisions considering decision criteria, implications, and possible consequences, to ensure product design integrity
- Ability to demonstrates understanding of the applicable scientific and engineering knowledge and involves others in obtaining information for the engineering decision-making process
- Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems
- Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables

?- BS in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry or similar field
