NOTE - Need to work on our W-2 (No 1099 / C2C)

- Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global & its clients' proprietary information.
- Performs hardware/software needs assessment & evaluation to improve security & performance.
- Architects e-commerce based highly available clustered environments.
- Installs new system software products as well as new versions & releases for existing system software products according to established departmental procedures.
- Develops custom scripts to monitor, automate & administer various applications web based &/or comm& line based.
- Coordinates installation w/ supporting departments. Documents installation procedures, changes, software products, & release levels of all products.
- Contributes to the definition & standardization of operational procedures.
- Provides assistance, diagnosis, troubleshooting & problem resolution of software & application issues using available resources.
- Sets up & configures new environments.
- Supports & tests hardware/software pertaining to e-commerce systems.
- Creates technical/operational test plans for new software patches & releases.
- Monitors assigned systems for security & performance on a daily basis.
- Applies security fixes to meet PCI-DSS requirements.
- Develops & documents backup/recovery plan for e-commerce systems.
- Participates in business resumption (disaster recover) planning, implementation & testing. Researches & recommends products that meet user expectations.
- Proactively monitors environment & application health for potential issues & take action to preserve SLAs.
- Administers 3rd party applications, services & integrations.
- Automates e-commerce deployments using scripting solutions & tools.
- Evaluates & keeps abreast of new hardware/software products & developments by monitoring various industry sources to stay current on technologies, trends &/or future expectations.
- Provides input &/or recommendations to mgrs or vendors.
- Follows & administers established security policies.
- Interacts w/ technical support staff on cross platform issues.
- Deploys, administers, optimizes & tunes e-commerce & J2EE/PHP applications in highly available WebSphere, Tomcat, Magento, DB2 & MySQL environments.
- Researches & recommends products that meet user expectations.
- Assists in diagnosing & troubleshooting applications.
- Provides direction, support, & training to application development teams in the e-commerce environment. Assists development teams w/ performance tuning activities.
- On a rotation basis, on call 24/7.
- Works in a cooperative & professional manner w/ all levels of employees, clients &/or vendors.
- Follows all Ergonomic safety policies.

Required Skills:
- BS in Computer Science or MIS &/or successful completion of equivalent technical courses in computer related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience configuring, managing & deploying the LAMP stack.
- Experience in WebSphere Application Server, Magento, Tomcat, Pacemaker/Corosync, DRBD, MySQL, DB2, CVS, Mercurial, or Zend Server deployment, configuration & optimization.
- 2 plus years of experience as an e-commerce Systems Administrator in a highly available clustered environment preferred
- 3 plus years of experience identifying, troubleshooting & resolving technical problems using critical thinking & analytical skills in fast paced environment preferred.
- 3 plus years of experience in performance tuning J2EE/PHP applications preferred.
- 2 plus years of experience that provides familiarity w/ UNIX, Redhat/CentOS Linux systems preferred.
- Strong Linux scripting skills (Perl/Bash/Ant/Python/shell scripts).
- Solid understanding of server architectures, Linux operating systems & application resource utilization.
- Experience w/ network & file protocols including HTTP, SFTP, XML, HTML, SSH, etc.
- Experience w/ relational databases.
- Knowledge of code control & deployment tools (Maven, Ant, Shell Script, Zend Deployment or Jenkins/Hudson).
- 2 plus years of demonstrated full project life cycle work experience/skills preferred.
